Dr. Gene M. Ranieri
Dr. Gene M. Ranieri received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loyola University in 1975. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland, Oregon. He returned to Loyola University for his Specialty Residency in Periodontics, which he completed in 1979. Dr. Ranieri has been in the Private Specialty Practice since that time and over thirty years in Northwest Indiana.
Dr. Gene Ranieri has served Dentistry in many capacities. He is the past President of Northwest Indiana Dental Society. He continues to serve that society for the past thirty years as a member of The Board of Directors, Delegate to Indiana Dental Society, and Founder of Northwest Indiana Foundation for Dental Education. Dr. Ranieri is a member of the American Dental Association where he served as a National delegate for NW Indiana, American Academy of Periodontology, Indiana Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and Midwest Society of Periodontics. He has been inducted into The American College of Dentists and International College of Dentistry.
Dr. Ranieri is extensively involved in Dental Education. He has been a professor at Loyola University School of Dentistry, University of Oregon Health Science Center, Indiana University Northwest, and currently Adjunct Professor at Indiana School of Dentistry, where he has lectured in the Doctorate and Post-Doctorate Programs for the last fifteen years. Locally he is the Founder and Director of Dental Study Club of Northwest Indiana. This Club provides ongoing continuing education for its 50 members. He also directs two Affiliate Study Clubs which provides continuing Education for New Dental Graduates and over one hundred Dental Hygienist in Northwest Indiana.
Dr. Gene Ranieri and his wife Maureen have two children and have been married for over 30 years. Dr. Gene Ranieri currently retired in August of 2023. However, he is working as an consultant with dentist's and patients in Northwest Indiana.
